Introducing Party Worldwide’s president, Vikram Narendran! Vikram has played number one on varsity for the RUHS tennis team all of his years here and has won two back-to-back state championships. He competes in national tournaments across the country and has been ranked inside the top 100 by the USTA for Boys 18 and under. Vikram also volunteers for Indian cultural groups in Tucson along with working at the Tucson Racquet Club helping with both Tennis and Pickleball! A few fun facts about him are that he loves fly-fishing and painting along with participating in the TMTA’s Piano Ensemble (this will be his tenth year). Gun control and immigration are issues very important to Vikram, and as your president he will do everything he can to make the world a safer place while also seeking growth.
Introducing Party Worldwide’s vice president, Alyssa Jimenez Badilla. Alyssa has been deeply involved with the Tucson Girls Chorus for the past nine years, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing musical training, community, and performance opportunities to girls ages 6–18. She now serves as the President of their Advanced Choir and has been a section leader for more than 4 years. Music has played a vital role in Alyssa’s life and she has made it her mission to uplift young women’s voices throughout Southern Arizona. Through TGC, Alyssa has had the opportunity to perform worldwide! From local performances here in Tucson, to Spain and Portugal, and to the heart of music and art in New York City recently performing as an opener alongside TGC at Carnegie Hall. Some fun facts about Alyssa are that she loves making and drinking coffee, creating art with colored pencils, and spending time with her beloved dog, Mocka. Immigration and environmental policy are issues that are especially important to Alyssa. As a Mexican American, her heritage gives her a deeply personal understanding of the immigrant experience and fuels her desire to help create a world where immigrants are recognized, valued, and accepted globally. Alyssa is also passionate about protecting the environment and her hopes for the future include becoming a biologist and studying ways to strengthen and preserve the Earth. As Vice President, Alyssa is committed to leading with compassion and creativity to help build a more inclusive and sustainable world.
Introducing Party Worldwide's Foreign Chair, Nicholas Hishaw! Around campus Nicholas has been in the RUHS Jazz Band for four years and RUHS Marching Band for 2 years. He is the President of the RUHS Black Student Union and outside of campus he is the Policy Director for Arizona Youth Climate Coalition. He likes to read about history and current events, play piano with his pets, and get involved with local organizing. His favorite Pitbull song is Jumpin. A fun fact about him is that he has two sisters, one being his twin. Worldwide's clean energy transition and foreign conflict resolution policies are the most important policies to Nicholas. As a child of parents who have had to deal with anti-black racism, anti-immigration xenophobia, and so much more hatred, Nicholas knows the importance of the ability for all Americans to live free and peaceful lives without the fear of prejudice by their neighbors or government. Nicholas is passionate about the environment and social issues and plans to become a lawyer after high school. As foreign chair, Nicholas is committed to delivering a foreign policy that improves the well-being of all Americans and puts the nation back at the head of the global stage for progress.
Introducing Party Worldwide's Domestic Chair, Lani Fernando! Lani is an officer in Mock Trial and Society of Women Engineers. She also performs as part of Desert Virtuoso Music Group at various communities around Tucson. Some fun facts about her are that she loves reading folktales and historical fiction, as well as designing dresses. Lani considers corruption in the government and an ineffective tax code to be some of the most significant issues for America right now. As Domestic Chair, Lani is committed to upholding justice for all and to bettering the lives of the American people.
Introducing Party Worldwide’s Party Chair, Dayna Ferniza! Dayna is an ambassador and Penguin 2 Penguin’s Vice President, where she has helped and lead numerous events including the Freshmen Dance, Tailgate, and Culture Night. She also helps out with our mascot Pablo the Penguin and keeps him busy at sports games, school events, and our summer BOOST program. Outside of school Dayna is apart of JTED’s Licensed Nursing Assistant Program and is President of her HOSA chapter there. The misconduct of ICE, blatant violation of human rights, and environmental issues are important to Dayna. As your Party Chair she is dedicated to creating a world where people are no longer afraid to express their heritage and values; where people are truly experiencing and fulfilling THEIR American dream. She also wants everyone to live in a world where natural and important resources are not being depleted, where WE are able to thrive not just survive.
